Packing is the part most people underestimate. We can do all of it, or just the awkward things like glassware and pictures.
All of it, or just the awkward parts
A full pack means we arrive before the move, pack the entire house and label every box by room. A part pack means we do the things that break and you do the rest — which for most people is the kitchen, the glassware and anything framed.
That split is worth thinking about honestly. Clothes, books and bedding are easy to pack badly and still survive. Plates, glasses, mirrors and pictures are where damage actually happens, and they are also the slowest things to pack properly, which is why they are the most worthwhile to hand over.
Packing is charged separately from the move itself, so you can take as much or as little as you want without changing anything else about the day.
Why it is worth paying for
Two reasons, and the second is the one people miss.
The first is time. A three-bedroom house is a full day's packing for a crew who do it every week, and usually three or four evenings for the people who live there, at the end of days they have also worked.
The second is responsibility. Where we pack a box, the packing is ours — how it was filled, what it was wrapped in, and whether it was strong enough. That is a materially different position from a box somebody filled themselves the night before, and it is the reason we would rather pack the fragile things than inherit them.

- Wardrobe boxes so hanging clothes stay on their hangers
- Every box labelled by room, not by contents
- A first-night box kept back and loaded last
- Unpacking at the other end, on request
How the price is worked out
By how much there is and how much of it you want us to do. A part pack covering a kitchen and a few framed pieces is a couple of hours; a full three-bedroom house is a day with a crew.
It is quoted alongside the removal rather than as a separate exercise, because the survey that prices the move also tells us what the packing involves. If you are only after packing and moving the rest yourself, we will quote it on its own.
Materials are included in the quote. Prices shown to consumers include VAT.

Common questions
How far in advance do you pack?
Usually the day before the move, so nothing is left to do on the morning. For a larger house it can be spread across two days. Either way it is booked as part of the move rather than arranged separately.
Do you supply the boxes?
Yes — boxes, paper, bubble wrap and tape all come with us, and the cost is in the quote. You do not need to buy or collect anything.
Can you just pack the kitchen?
Yes, and it is the most common request we get. The kitchen and anything framed are where breakages happen, so a part pack covering those two things is often the best value on the whole job.
Will you unpack at the other end too?
On request. Most people want the fragile things unpacked and put away and prefer to do the rest themselves at their own pace, so tell us which and we will price it that way.
What should I pack myself?
Anything you want to keep track of personally: documents, jewellery, medication, chargers, and whatever you need on the first night. Put that in the car rather than the van. Everything else is easier for us to do than for you.
