Delivery and removals cover different ground

They are two different services and it is worth being clear about which one you need. Courier and delivery work runs anywhere in mainland Britain: we collect wherever you are and drive it to wherever it is going, on a dedicated van, in one leg.

Removals work from the towns above. A house or office move takes a crew for most of a day, so the towns we list are the ones we can properly staff and get to at the start of a working day.

If your town is not on the list, ask anyway rather than assuming. Long-distance moves out of the area are regular work, and the honest answer depends on the date and what else is booked that week — which is a two-minute conversation, not a rule.

What a town page tells you

Each page covers what is specific to moving in and out of that town: the postcodes, the kind of housing, and the access problems that come up often enough to plan around.

That last part is the useful bit. Terraced streets with permit parking, town-centre flats with a lift and a loading bay that has to be booked, new estates where the road is still half building site — these are the things that decide how long a move takes, and they are different in every town.
