Courier work into and out of London
From Luton, the M1 reaches north-west London in under an hour outside the rush, and the A1 and the M25 cover the north and the east. The slow part is almost always inside the North Circular, so for anything with a deadline we plan the route and the time of day together rather than quoting the distance alone.
Central London runs on loading rules. Red routes, timed loading bays and goods-in doors with booking slots decide when a van can stop, and offices and shops in the City and the West End often have a named goods entrance that is not the front door. Send the delivery window and any booking reference with the job.
The congestion charge applies in the central zone, and the Ultra Low Emission Zone covers every London borough. Where a job needs either, it is named with the price, like every other charge that can change a quote.
Moving house in London
Much of London's housing is flats: purpose-built blocks with a lift that has to be booked, and Victorian houses converted into two or three flats sharing one staircase. Tell us the floor, whether there is a lift, and whether the building has rules about moving days. Many managed blocks allow moves only on weekdays, at set times.
Each borough runs its own parking suspensions, with its own notice period and cost. On a permit-only street, a suspension outside the door usually saves more time than it costs, and we will say so when we quote.
