Start with when it has to arrive. If it has to be there today, that is same-day: collected and driven straight to the address, nothing else on board. If tomorrow or a set date will do, next-day and scheduled delivery costs less for the same care.
Then look at what is going. Parcels, boxes and documents are straightforward. Furniture and large single items need two people and the room to load them properly. Anything on a pallet, or several of them, is freight and gets priced by weight and space rather than by the piece.
Airport work is its own thing — parts, documents and freight to and from the terminals, where the deadline is the flight rather than the end of the day. European delivery is arranged through licensed partners who hold the operator authority the route requires.
What a dedicated van actually means
Your consignment is the only thing in the van. It does not go to a depot, it is not sorted, it is not tipped onto another vehicle overnight, and it is not waiting for the van to fill up before it leaves.
That matters for two reasons. The obvious one is speed: one driver, collection to delivery, no hub in the middle. The less obvious one is handling. Most damage in this trade happens at transfer points, and a direct run has none.
You get photo proof of delivery and a signature sent straight to your phone, so you know it arrived, when, and who took it. For anything fragile, high-value or awkwardly shaped, that combination is usually worth more than saving a few pounds on a network service.

Common questions
What can you carry?
Parcels, boxes, documents, furniture, equipment, and pallets up to full freight loads. We do not carry cash, live animals, or anything classed as hazardous unless it has been agreed in advance. If you are not sure whether something is a problem, ask — it usually is not.
Can you collect outside normal working hours?
Yes. Booked collections can be at any hour, including overnight and early morning, and enquiries are welcome any time, day or night. For regular out-of-hours work we will put a driver on it.
How do I know the delivery arrived?
Photo proof of delivery and a signature are sent straight to your phone, so you have the time, the place and who took it without having to ring and ask.

What makes this different from a parcel carrier?
Nothing shares the van, and nothing passes through a sorting hub. A national network is cheaper for a small parcel with a flexible deadline. A dedicated van wins when the item is large, fragile, valuable, or genuinely has to be there.
