The streets around the abbey, Fishpool Street and the roads off Hatfield Road are largely Georgian and Victorian, often listed or in a conservation area, and almost always on a controlled parking zone. A bay suspension from Hertfordshire County Council needs a clear week, sometimes more in summer.
