The grid cuts both ways
Milton Keynes is the easiest town in the area to drive a van around and one of the easiest to underestimate. The grid roads mean no narrow lanes, no one-way systems and almost always somewhere legal to stop — but they also mean addresses that look close on a map can be a ten-minute drive apart, and a multi-drop day here covers more ground than the same day in a compact town.
The estates off the grid squares are their own maze. Numbering rarely runs in an obvious order and the redways separate parking from front doors, so a postcode alone is often not enough. A house name or a what3words reference saves everybody time.
Business and distribution work
Central Milton Keynes, Kiln Farm, Blakelands and the Magna Park corridor generate most of our commercial work here: inter-site transfers, urgent parts, pallets and office moves.
Sites of that kind usually book deliveries in, and often will not take one outside the window. Give us the booking reference and the window with the job and it goes on the run properly, rather than a driver arriving to find a closed gate.
