Town, terraces and villages
The streets around the Embankment and Castle Road are Victorian terraces with permit parking and no driveways. They are pleasant places to live and awkward places to park a Luton van, so a suspension from Bedford Borough Council is usually worth the paperwork.
Kempston and the newer estates to the north are straightforward. The villages are the ones to flag early: a narrow lane, a shared track or a low bridge can rule out the largest van entirely, and it is far better to know that when quoting than when arriving.
Bedford is also a regular courier run for us in both directions, which often means a van is already heading that way.
